Easy Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or Prego® Tomato Basil Garlic Italian Sauce
6 ounces (about 2 cups) uncooked rotini (spiral) pasta (The pasta cooks right in the dish- a time saver and one less pot to clean)
2 cups water
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Step 1 : Season the chicken as desired. Sprinkle the chicken with the Italian seasoning. Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until well browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally. Remove the chicken from the skillet, cover and keep warm.
  • Step 2 : Stir the sauce, rotini and water in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the rotini is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in the cooked chicken. Season to taste.
  • Step 3 : Sprinkle with the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Cover and let stand until the mozzarella cheese is melted.
